The Jacobs Levy Center at Wharton will host its annual Frontiers in Quantitative Finance Conference on Friday, September 26, 2025.
The conference will include a ceremony to award the 2025 Wharton-Jacobs Levy Prize for Quantitative Financial Innovation to Sanford “Sandy” J. Grossman, Professor Emeritus of Finance at the Wharton School. He will be honored for his pioneering work on the interplay between market efficiency, information asymmetry, limits to arbitrage, active management and the impact of trading and liquidity on price formation, based on his paper, On the Efficiency of Competitive Stock Markets Where Trades Have Diverse Information (Journal of Finance, 1976).
All events will take place at the New York Marriott Marquis. More details will be shared this spring.
Recent Jacobs Levy Center conferences have drawn several hundred attendees including faculty, students, and financial practitioners. Past winners of the Wharton-Jacobs Levy Prize include Harry Markowitz, William Sharpe, Stephen Ross, Ray Ball and Philip Brown, Narasimhan Jegadeesh, Sheridan Titman, and Albert “Pete” Kyle.
