Call for Research Proposals

Call for Research Proposals in Quantitative Finance
Deadline: June 30, 2014

The Wharton School’s Jacobs Levy Equity Management Center for Quantitative Financial Research is requesting proposals for research in quantitative finance. The Jacobs Levy Center’s mission is to enhance the understanding of financial markets through the study and promotion of quantitative techniques and methods as applied to such fields as the analysis of domestic and international stocks and bonds, the management of investment portfolios, and other areas of quantitative finance. Research is disseminated via a White Paper Series, Knowledge@Wharton, and scholarly journals.

All University of Pennsylvania faculty may submit proposals for research grants, though preference will be given to junior faculty. Grants are intended for research support, and expenses may include research assistants, the purchase of data, and other related expenses excluding travel. A research proposal should consist of a one-page description of the proposed project and a tentative budget.

Proposals should be submitted electronically in PDF format to jacobs-levy-center@wharton.upenn.edu by June 30, 2014. They will be assessed by a committee comprised of Wharton Finance Department Faculty members as well as the Academic Director of the Center. Grants are expected to be announced in July.

Please direct any questions to Chris Geczy, Academic Director (215-898-1698 or geczy@wharton.upenn.edu) or Lauren McDonnell, Managing Director (215-898-1715 or laurmc@wharton.upenn.edu).
